Vishal Patel, PhD

Chief Executive Officer

Vishal Patel is Chief Executive Officer at Triveni Bio, bringing more than two decades of expertise in life sciences and healthcare. His prior positions include Flagship Pioneering, Novartis, and Merck KGaA. He also serves as a reservist in the US Navy and sits on the board of Leonardo Electronics. Vishal earned a PhD in biological chemistry and molecular pharmacology from Harvard, where he was a National Science Foundation Fellow, and holds an MBA from MIT.

Bhaskar Srivastava, MD, PhD

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Bhaskar Srivastava serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Triveni Bio, bringing extensive experience in clinical development and medical practice. Prior to joining Triveni Bio, Dr Srivastava was the Senior Vice President of Clinical Development at Nimbus Therapeutics, where he advanced novel therapies from discovery through clinical trials. Before his tenure at Nimbus, he held senior clinical development roles at Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies of Johnson & Johnson, focusing on early-phase clinical programs in dermatology and rheumatology. Dr Srivastava is a board-certified dermatologist with five years of clinical practice experience and has served as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Yale School of Medicine. He earned his MD and PhD in Immunology from the University of Pennsylvania.

Jennifer Dovey, PhD

Chief Scientific Officer

Jennifer Dovey is Chief Scientific Officer at Triveni Bio where, in addition to being the founding employee, brings two decades of experience in drug discovery and development.  Previously, she served in roles of increasing responsibility at Amgen, Biogen and Celgene in oncology, fibrosis, aging and inflammation with a focus on epithelial disease biology.   Jennifer earned her PhD in Genetics from Harvard University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at MIT.

Nicholas Scarchilli

Chief Operating Officer

Nicholas (Nick) Scarchilli is Chief Operating Officer at Triveni Bio, leading Finance, Corporate Development, Legal, Manufacturing, Human Resources, and Corporate Administration functions. His previous experience included overseeing business development at Biogen for Immunology and Fibrosis, life sciences strategy consulting at the Frankel Group (now part of Oliver Wyman) and corporate finance and strategy at Raytheon. Nick holds an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and a BBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in Corporate Finance.

Susan Wu, PhD

Head, Dev Ops & Program Management

Susan (Su) Wu is the Head of Development Operations and Program Management at Triveni Bio, where she is responsible for program management, clinical operations, and regulatory affairs. She has almost two decades of experience in drug development and regulatory science. Prior to joining Triveni, Su held a leadership role at Celsius Therapeutics where she brought their lead asset into early clinical testing and ultimately played an integral role in the company’s acquisition by Abbvie. In addition, Su spent over a decade at Vertex Pharmaceuticals working on multiple development programs and was instrumental in obtaining approvals for TRIKAFTA (KAFTRIO in EU) and ORKAMBI for the treatment of cystic fibrosis. Su earned her PhD in Biochemistry and Biophysics from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill and BS in Biology from Tufts University.

Eva Asp, PhD

Head, Biology

Eva Asp is Head of Biology at Triveni Bio where she leads biology and translational research activities. She has nearly two decades of expertise in research and development, with an emphasis on molecular and cellular biology. She previously worked with Alltrna, Triplet Therapeutics, and Proclara Biosciences. She obtained a PhD in cell and molecular biology from the University of Gothenburg.

Brantley Herrin, PhD

Head, Biologics

Brantley Herrin is Head of Biologics at Triveni Bio, leading all antibody discovery, engineering, and characterization efforts. He has over 20 years’ experience in both industry and academia, specializing in immunology, biologics, protein engineering, and molecular engineering. He has previously worked at Acceleron Pharma, Unum Therapeutics, and Emory University. He earned a PhD in microbiology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Kejie Li, PhD

Head, Data Science

Kejie Li is the Head of Data Science at Triveni Bio, bringing over a decade of experience in computational biology, omics data analysis, human genetics, and drug discovery research across pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and academia. He has contributed to high-impact research in single-cell RNA sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, and deep learning applications in computer vision. Prior to joining Triveni Bio, he held roles at another Atlas Venture startup and Biogen. He also completed a postdoctoral fellowship in the Chemical Biology Program at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Kejie earned his PhD in Computational Biology from Purdue University and holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Sichuan University.

Lauren Marrine

Head, Finance

Lauren Marrine leads Triveni’s Finance function, bringing almost two decades of experience as a finance professional across both the private and public sectors within the biotech and pharmaceutical industry. Prior to joining the Triveni team, Lauren served in a leadership role at Omega Therapeutics, where she played a pivotal role in the company’s successful IPO process, building out the finance function, with a focuson financial and strategic planning, robust financial systems, and SOX-compliant processes. Prior to Omega, Lauren held positions at Aegerion Pharmaceuticals, CFGI, and KPMG. Lauren is a Certified Public Accountant and has an MS/BS in Accounting from the College of Saint Rose.

Jill Sincaglia

Head, Human Resources

Jill Sincaglia leads Triveni’s Human Resources function and brings over two decades of experience in all facets of Human Resources including talent management, organizational design, culture, employee engagement and total rewards. Prior to joining Triveni, Jill held leadership positions at several biopharmaceutical companies including ImmunoGen, Sarepta Therapeutics, Rubius Therapeutics and SalioGen Therapeutics. Jill holds a BS in Art and Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University. She is also a certified Executive Coach.

Taylor Polhemus

Head, Technical Operations

Taylor Polhemus leads Triveni’s Technical Operations function where he is responsible for Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls (CMC) and Clinical Supply Chain. Taylor brings nearly two decades of experience in the development of clinical stage biopharmaceutical products across a diverse range of therapeutic formats and expression systems. Previously, Taylor held similar positions at Sail Biomedicines, Gemini Therapeutics, and Merrimack Pharmaceuticals. Taylor holds a MS in Engineering Management from Tufts University and holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University.

Jessamyn Blau, MD

Head, Clinical Development

Dr. Jessamyn (Jess) Blau is Head of Clinical Development at Triveni, bringing over a decade of experience across clinical medicine and clinical development. Jess leverages her background as a practicing internist as well as her clinical development background in immunology, gastroenterology, and rare disease to lead the clinical development strategy at Triveni. Jess previously held leadership positions in clinical development at Takeda from early development to approval. Jess holds an MD from the University of Rochester, an MA from Columbia University, and a BA from Yale University.
